The California Community Colleges Student Film and Video Festival gives you the opportunity to showcase your student project at this year’s festival. 3C Media Solutions recognizes and rewards students for their achievements in video, film, broadcasting and animation. All student produced programs will be exclusively displayed at a special screening held during the Online Teaching Conference in June 2012.
SEE YOUR WINNING ENTRY SCREENED
AT THE STUDENT FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL
HELD DURING THE ONLINE TEACHING CONFERENCE
Your video or film will be seen by teachers and instructors from all over the nation. Selected student producers will have an opportunity to speak about their film during the showcase. Winning films and videos will be streamed live from our website.
NEW CATEGORIES
Two new categories have been created for this year’s festival. The first new category is for the Online Teaching Conference. Here we ask you to let your imagination fly. Create a two minute video expressing the virtues of online learning. It can be in any style from music video to a short film.
The second new category is a creative category. We will recognize a student video and film editor for his/her skill in editing a project. Anything from news to a short film will be accepted for this category. If you edited it, you can enter it. A special prize package is being developed for this category by 3C Media Solutions and the Student Film and Video Festival Sponsors. (Did we mention that all entries are FREE?!?)
The Video Theme Challenge this year is just as big as last year’s challenge. This year we ask you to create a video discussing the Dangers of Texting. Please DO NOT put yourself or anyone else in harm’s way while creating this video. Your safety is more important than the prize we offer for this category.
PRIZES AND AWARDS!
Eligible winners will receive: An Award of Excellence, an Award of Distinction, or an Honorable Mention Certificate. The highest scoring Award of Excellence winner in each category will receive a prize package from our festival sponsors. See the film and video festival website for prize package information.
All winning entries will receive written acknowledgement in our programs at the screenings. The contest is open to all California Community College students in fulfillment of a California Community College course or campus media outlet. Failure to follow the Festival guidelines may result in disqualification.
Posters are hot off the press! Look for them and ask about them on your campus. Click here to download and print your own!
